Certifications
CalCERTS is one of the organizations approved by the California Energy Commission that certifies HERS Raters in California. CalCerts is a private organization that provides service, support, training and certification to HERS raters.
BPI is accredited by the American National Standards Institute, Inc. (ANSI) to develop building performance standards. BPI Certified Professionals must undergo extensive training and testing programs in order to hold these specialized certifications. BPI Certified professionals are then able to perform comprehensive energy audits to find problems and trouble spots throughout the home, then determine which improvements will work best to improve the buildings overall performance.
CHEERS is one of the organizations approved by the California Energy Commission that certifies HERS Raters in California. HERS raters use CHEERS to document Title 24 compliance with the requirements of California Energy Code.
